Our crappy old HP printer packed it in this morning while I was trying to print out all of our travel documents. So it was down to PC World to get a replacement. Technology has moved a long way and prices have come down considerably, so I got a printer/scanner/copier, a Canon MP180, for less than I paid for the duff printer six years ago. Above is the first scan from it. An old picture of some kid I found somewhere. He’s pretty cute, and the scanner is great. Now I just need to find time to scan in lots and lots of old prints. And I’m going to try Chris Gulker’s Paperless Project and start scanning in all the bills and bumph that piles up on the desk until it is filed or shredded – about every six months or so.
