That’s Charlie at Loftus Road this afternoon, where we went to see the QPR vs Sheffield Wednesday match. It was his first ever trip to a football match and it was a very exciting afternoon, although the game ended up a 1-1 draw. Poor Charlie, now he’s destined to the lifetime of misery and suffering that goes with supporting the Wednesday.

Virtual thrills
We’ve discovered something that actually rivals Lego Star Wars II, called the No Limits Roller Coaster simulator. It’s a very clever piece of software that lets you ride dozens of different virtual coasters, plus an editor that allows you to build your own (engineering degree required). Charlie absolutely loves it, which is funny because he had a bad experience last year on Space Mountain at Disneyland. It actually makes me feel a bit queasy, though. A free demo is available for both Mac and Windows. Highly recommended, but possibly not after a big meal…
Lunar eclipse
We had a great view of last night’s total eclipse of the Moon, thanks to a rare clear winter night. This is the best shot I could manage without a tripod, which I was too lazy to set up!
